What We Believe

Eight Truths That Shape Everything

At Glorious Gospel Centre we stand firmly on the historic, biblical Christian faith. These eight core beliefs anchor our worship, our teaching, and our life together as a church family.

Grounded in Scripture

Our Foundation Is Christ. Our Authority Is the Word.

We are a non-denominational, Bible-believing, Christ-centred church. While we hold to the orthodox Christian faith shared by believers across centuries and continents, we are particularly anchored in the gospel of grace — the good news that salvation is freely given through Jesus Christ alone.

What follows are the eight beliefs that shape who we are, how we worship, and how we serve our city. Each one is supported by Scripture, and each one points us back to the same person — Jesus.

The Eight Core Beliefs

Eight Truths We Hold Together

The Triune God

We believe in one eternal God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, worthy of worship, honour, and obedience.

The Authority of Scripture

We affirm that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It serves as the foundation for all faith, conduct, and practice.

Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. Through His sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection, He provides the only means of salvation for humanity. Salvation is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works.

📖 Ephesians 2:8–9 · Acts 4:12 · Romans 10:9

The Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the active presence of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers for godly living and service. The Holy Spirit equips the Church with spiritual gifts to build the body of Christ and spread the gospel.

📖 John 14:26 · Galatians 5:22–23 · 1 Corinthians 12:7

The Church

We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, consisting of all believers united by faith in Him. The Church is called to worship God, teach the Word, engage in fellowship, and fulfil the Great Commission.

📖 Ephesians 4:4–6 · Hebrews 10:24–25 · Acts 2:42

The Great Commission

We are committed to proclaiming the gospel worldwide, discipling nations, and demonstrating God's love through acts of compassion and justice. Our mission is to bring individuals into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and to nurture their faith.

📖 Matthew 28:18–20 · Mark 16:15 · Acts 1:8

The Return of Christ

We affirm the imminent return of Jesus Christ to establish His eternal kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the final judgement, and the promise of eternal life for believers.

📖 Acts 1:11 · 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 · Revelation 22:20

Christian Living

We are called to live holy and godly lives, reflecting the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ in all we do. As ambassadors of Christ, we strive to be salt and light in the world, promoting peace, reconciliation, and hope.

📖 Galatians 5:25 · Titus 2:11–12 · 1 Peter 1:15–16

“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.”
